What is an Anal PAP?
A preventative procedure done in a provider’s office that collects a sample of cells from the anus to check for Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and changes to the tissue. In other words, we are checking for cancer.
Should I be getting one?
Certain people can be at high risk of anal cancer, including people living with HIV and people who practice anal intercourse.
